This is how you order TAM and start using it

Three step process

To get started with TAM is a simple three step process that we will guide you through.

Step 1 - Once you click on the button at the bottom of this page called "Order TAM Now", you will be asked to provide us with some basic information about your company and your main contact details, see more on this below.

Step 2 - You will then be transferred to PayPal to complete the payment of your first month's subscription.

Step 3 - We will then build your TAM database and configure it based on the information that you have provided. As soon as this process is completed (normally within one working day), we will email you to let you know that you can start using TAM.

How many Users do you want to start off with?

This is a key question that you will be asked in Step 1.

TAM is designed so that you can put all your employees on TAM as Users, which is also the best way to get the most out of TAM, as you will then be able to use the full functionality of the system.

In other words, you can only send TAM Messages to Users and create and track Tasks for Users. Training records, etc are only kept on TAM for Users, as are audit trails.

That said, it is possible to start TAM with as few as 20 User (this is the minimum order requirement). If you have more staff than that, but don't want to put all of them on TAM right away, at least having the 20 Users will help ensure you can make decent progress with TAM and get the system up and running properly. You can then add more Users as and when you are ready for it. You can also decrease your number of Users at any time.

Also, as explained under How TAM Works, TAM distinguishes between Users and Non-Users. Whilst Users have all the benefits as explained above, any employees you have that are Non-Users are still offered limited access to TAM free of charge. This free access allows Non-Users to view all your Health & Safety and Company Training documentation, in turn helping you comply with some of your Health & Safety obligations. We offer our customers this free access for Non-Users in the hope they will soon see the benefits of TAM and convert their Non-Users to full Users of the system.

Do you want to use the EasyPop?

As part of the ordering process, you will also be asked this question.

In order to make the set-up procedure as simple and time efficient as possible, we have created a tool we call the "EasyPop" (derived from "easy population of database"). The EasyPop allows you to copy information concerning your staff from your payroll or other existing documentation and paste it onto a spreadsheet that is then downloaded onto TAM. As this is done, the EasyPop will automatically populate the database with the information in the spreadsheet, potentially saving you hours of admin. We recommend that organisations that intend to have more than twenty Users make use of the EasyPop.

There is also a second EasyPop for Sites that companies with more than ten Sites can use to quickly set up their network on TAM.

If you indicate that you want to make use of the EasyPop when ordering TAM, we will wait for you to email us back the EasyPop(s) before we confirm that you can start using TAM. This way, we ensure that when you start using TAM not only is the system populated with all your information, but we also avoid the risk of data being duplicated.

Information we will need from you in Step 1

This is the information you need to have to hand, when you click on the button called "Order TAM Now"

  • Company name
  • Company number (UK customers only)
  • Estimated number of employees your company has
  • Estimated number of Sites your company has
  • How many Users you want to start with, see above
  • Proposed short version of your company name that you and your staff will use as the "Client ID" when logging on to TAM
  • Name, email and mobile phone number of the person within your company who will be the main person responsible for TAM and our contact (the "TAM Responsible Person")

    Please note that if you don't make use of the EasyPop, the first time you log on to TAM, the TAM Responsible Person will be the only person whose details have been populated on the system As a result, the TAM Responsible Person will be required to do the initial set-up work of getting your company up and running on the system, which will involve putting other staff onto TAM, setting up Departments, Geographic Areas, Positions, and so on.
  • The address details of the Site from which the TAM Responsible Person works (including name of Site, address of Site, phone number and Site manager)
  • The Position the TAM Responsible Person holds in your company (which will be used to start establishing your company's organisational hierarchy on TAM)
  • The username and initial password you want the TAM Responsible Person to have (the password can easily be reset at any time, once you are up and running with TAM)
  • Name and contact details of the person within your company that will be responsible for paying the monthly subscription fee

You will then be asked to confirm your acceptance of our Terms and Conditions, and then finally we will transfer you across to PayPal, the secure online payment service, and ask you to pay your first monthly subscription fee for which you will need:

  • Credit/debit card details so that you can complete the payment for the first month's subscription - please note that you will only be able to save the information you have provided above by completing this payment, so make sure you have your credit/debit card ready!
